What is ProspectLinker?

ProspectLinker is a community that links people who share their views, ideas, and thoughts with each other. People engage in conversations with professionals, who could be inside or outside of their own personal networks, to gain each others' insights and viewpoints.

Topics of discussion could include:

  • Business strategies: ex. New growth options for Kashi, the cereal company
  • Industry outlooks: ex. What is the future of the newspaper?

What problem does ProspectLinker solve?

People struggle for a practical source of information and advice. It is often difficult to get ideas, feedback, thoughts, and viewpoints from a particular group of people who are outside of your network.

For example, if a student, who is an aspiring investment banker, would like to ask a question to an actual investment banker, but does not have any personal contacts, where would she go? Or, if a product manager would like to get feedback on creating brand appeal from a specific target demographic, who is outside of his network, where would he go?

As more people use ProspectLinker and contribute to conversations, it will quickly become the destination to get a popular viewpoint on any given topic from a diverse group of people.

What stage is ProspectLinker in?

The site is in a private alpha invite-only stage where users must sign up to receive an invitation to join the ProspectLinker community or receive an invitation from someone currently in the community. What's the history of ProspectLinker and who is behind it?

  • ProspectLinker Inc. (formerly doing business as nkdGuru, Inc.), is a Delaware incorporated business that was formed in late 2006 and is based in Toronto, Canada.
  • ProspectLinker is comprised of 4 young motivated people with backgrounds in computer science / human computer interaction (Kent Fenwick), technology and design (Justin Lee), investment banking (Andre Charoo), and marketing (Jason Williams).
