We at ProspectLinker respect your privacy and take the issue of Internet privacy very seriously. By accepting the ProspectLinker Terms of Service, you consent to the use and disclosure of personal information that you provide to us as outlined in this Privacy Statement. ProspectLinker, Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on www.prospectlinker.com (“ProspectLinker.com” or the “Site”). We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

ProspectLinker collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

Registration Information

In order to use this website, Prospects must first complete the registration form. During registration, Prospects are requested to furnish certain information, including, but not limited to, first and last name, email, password, birthday and category of interest. This information is used to link Company Representatives with prospects and is also used as login information. Prospects are encouraged to provide additional personalized information (such as background, education, career information, interests, and personal information) so ProspectLinker may provide a more personalized experience on the Site.

Services Through the Site

We request information from the user during the process of using the ProspectLinker service. We break down users of our service into two categories, Prospects and Company Representatives (you may register as a Prospect; Company Representatives are appointed by their Companies). The information we collect from both Prospects and Company Representatives is to provide users with the best possible ProspectLinker service. If we have trouble providing that service, we may use contact information to get in touch with the user.

Prospect / Company Representative Communication - Using the ProspectLinker Service

The main purpose of ProspectLinker is to allow registered Company Representatives to provide Prospects with advice and answer questions as it relates to recruiting for the Company they work for. Certain communications may be recorded and maintained by ProspectLinker. ProspectLinker does not screen or edit the content of communications between Prospects and Company Representatives. Such communications are personal and private unless both parties agree to additional distribution, for example by posting questions on the Community Questions Board (described later). Information that is relayed between the Prospect and the Company Representative during their communication is kept completely confidential, and no other users of ProspectLinker have access to this information.

Publicly Accessible Information

ProspectLinker makes the Community Questions Board available to its registered users. The Community Questions Board allows Prospects to post questions that can be viewed by any Company Representative. All community questions will remain on the Community Questions Board for a maximum of 30 days. All postings and descriptions on the Community Questions Board are public to registered Prospects and Company Representatives until a Prospect enters into a private interaction with a Company Representative. All subsequent communications between the Prospect and Company Representative are kept confidential.

Use of Information Available Through ProspectLinker

To provide both Prospects and Company Representatives with the best service possible on our Site, and to facilitate communication among Prospects and Company Representatives, ProspectLinker provides email addresses to Prospects and Company Representatives only under specific circumstances. By reviewing ProspectLinker’s Terms of Service and approving, in the case of Company Representatives, a Company Representative Agreement, and in the case of Prospects, a Prospect Agreement, registered users of ProspectLinker agree to use the Community Questions Board area and all communication facilities provided by ProspectLinker exclusively for interaction associated with ProspectLinker services and their delivery. Registered users may not use information gathered through a ProspectLinker transaction to defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal and civil rights of any other registered user. Registered users may not use information gathered through a ProspectLinker transaction to sell any goods or services for any commercial purpose outside the scope of the ProspectLinker service. Email addresses and personal information may not be used to forward surveys contests, pyramid schemes or chain letters, or to post the same message repeatedly (a practice referred to as “spamming”). ProspectLinker may terminate the ability of any Prospect or Company Representative to use the ProspectLinker service at any time and for any reason.

Sharing

We currently do not share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers, but may do so in the future. This will not be linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. We reserve the right to partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Invite a Friend

If a user elects to use our referral service for inviting a friend to try our Site, we ask them for the friend’s email address. ProspectLinker will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the Site. ProspectLinker stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may contact ProspectLinker at support@prospectlinker.com to request the removal of this information from their database.

Correction/Updating Personal Information

If a user’s personally identifiable information, such as email address, changes, or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us. This can usually be done at the Account Settings page within the Site, or by emailing our Customer Support at support@prospectlinker.com.
